Our visit to Mirehouse, Keswick
We had a fantastic day at Mirehouse, finding out about the past and how people lived in the beautiful old house. We had an interesting tour around the house and looked at lots of historical artefacts as well as learning all about what life was like without electricity and flushing toilets!
We also had lots of fun investigating the Bee Garden, racing around the Steeplchase and searching for different kinds of autumn leaves on an autumn walk.
Builder Mike visits school
Builder Mike and Grazia from Northern Construction came to speak to us all about building houses. We enjoyed finding out about all the special equipment builders need to keep themselves safe when working on a busy building site.
We learned about the different materials needed to build houses and make them safe, warm and waterproof for us to live in.
Thank you for our building blocks- we will be sending some pictures to Mike and Grazia soon. We have built some grand designs to show them.
