A Little Princess
Children in KS2 enjoyed a trip to the Theatre by the Lake, in Keswick, to watch A Little Princess.
Sara Crewe travelled from the freedom of a childhood in India to a boarding school in a cold dark corner of northern England. Just as she began to build a brighter world for herself and her friends some devastating news arrived from home and her life took a terrible turn.
Meanwhile, our storyteller, Ramdas, was on his way from faraway Shimla with a twist in the tale that changed everything. He searched for the girl with a strong heart and a head full of wild imaginings before it was too late. It was great to see a couple of parts in the play being played by ex pupils from our school
