Year 6 pupils spent the morning at The Courts in Workington. They heard all about the different crimes that are heard by the magistrates, visited the cells and re-enacted a scenario about the perils of cyber bullying. After talking in groups about many more scenarios, they had refreshments before returning to school. Thank you to Charlotte and the staff who supported our visit to make it informative and enjoyable.

Mon 14 Oct 2019 Mrs Fletcher
The Reception children have been talking about special places in RE. The other week they were split into three groups and given the challenge of creating their own special places in the classroom. Each group decided that they wanted to make a den and they wanted to make it a cosy place to relax and enjoy a book. All three dens were amazing and the children worked really well as a team. Challenge completed! Well done Reception children.

Alongside the help of the school council, they organised a book swap and a jigsaw swap in order to reuse items. They made sure paper was being recycled in school and looked at how to reduce waste. We are so proud to have been awarded the SILVER status.
