On Wednesday 4th November, Amanda Spielman visited our school to help us celebrate the ''can do attitude'' our teachers, pupils and parents have maintained over the last few months. Please read the press release that we wrote for the local newspaper; we are hoping an article will be in the Times and Star this week. Mrs. Fish.
Primary 2 spent last half term learning more about weather as part of their Geography topic. They looked at maps, weather charts, weather symbols, painted weather pictures and studied the similarities and differences between Antarctica and The Sahara Desert.
Their Seesaw homework task was to design and make a weather recording object, so that they could become "Weather Watchers". What a fantastic collection of rain gauges, wind vanes and wind socks were made! Take a look at some of them.....
Primary 2 started their new RE topic today, thinking about gifts. They will be learning about the gifts that were given to baby Jesus from the Three Kings, as well as Jesus himself being a gift from God.
Today (with it being World Kindness Day) we focussed on the gift of kindness. The children enjoyed sharing their ideas on how to be kind to everyone they meet, as well as talking about anyone who'd been particularly kind to them today.
Primary 2 then made kindness cards to give out to people who are special to them. One kind girl even gave out sweets to everyone, which she'd brought in today because it was her birthday. What a fantastic afternoon we had!

Over the last half-term all the children in school have been following the Jigsaw unit - 'Being Me in my World' in PHSE lessons.
One of the things that they discussed was the rights and responsibilities they had and rewards for doing the right thing and consequences for making wrong choices.
Every class contributed to the display in the hall as a celebration of the work.
