  • Primary 1 have been learning about St Bridget's Church during their RE lessons this half term

    Sat 31 Oct 2020 Mrs B Fletcher
Primary 1 have been learning about special places during their RE lessons. The children really enjoyed finding out more about churches, especially St Bridget's at Bridekirk. Reverend Thompson recorded a virtual tour for us, which we really enjoyed watching. We learnt so much! We then made models of churches with construction toys and we also worked in small groups to make 3D models of churches. We all had fun painting pictures of St Bridget's too.

  • Healthy Eating D&T

    Fri 16 Oct 2020

Primary 4 Have been looking at different recipes for soup as part of our Kapow "What could be healthier" D&T Module.

We quickly learnt that even though soup is considered "healthy", some are definitely more healthy than others!

After lots of research, we decided to go for:

Butternut Squash Soup, because it contains seasonal vegetables that are being harvested right now.

Minestrone Soup, because it contains lots of vegetables and also pasta which is filling and a good carbohydrate.

The children peeled and chopped all of the vegetables and cooked the soup themselves.

    Well Done!
