  • Easter Visit to Church

    Wed 31 Mar 2021

This week, all our classes have visited St Bridget's church for an interactive telling of the Easter story. Revd Thompson joined us and helped us consider Easter from Peter's point of view.

Each class prepared an offering in the form of a song or poem as well as a prayer. These have been posted on Seesaw for parents and family members to see. Below are a few photographs of one of the mornings.

The walk from school, to and from church, allowed the children to spot the signs of spring and new life and consider links to the Easter story.

  • National Day of Reflection

    Mon 29 Mar 2021

On Tuesday 23rd March we held a day of reflection in school to remember the year that has gone by and look with HOPE to the future. We came to school dressed in yellow and raised £300 for Marie Curie / Hospice at Home.

The children enjoyed creating daffodils ready for Cockermouth's Daffodil Day in April and Mrs. Shankland from The Rotary came to pick them up... we have also created a Host of Golden Daffodils to brighten up our school.

  • World Book Day

Tue 16 Mar 2021 Mrs Fish

On Thursday 11th March we all dressed up to celebrate World Book Day - as well as being back in school. It was lovely to see so many smiling faces and fun activities taking place in the classrooms.

Here are a few photos of the day!
