Art/DT

A fashion study of the 1960s

P3 baked apple and blackberry crumble as part of our Eating Seasonally DT topic

We made fruit kebabs as part of our DT topic. We looked at the different countries where the fruits come from.

As part of our textiles topic, P3 made their own cushions. They had to cut material to create their own design, sew it onto the felt, tie the ends together and then stuff it! Lots of different skills required and the end results are amazing!

Stone Age Art. We have used charcoal to create cave paintings and we have made our own 'paints' from berries, cinnamon, paprika and soil to produce some wonderful pieces of art this term.

Seasonal Cooking - we made soup and blackberry and apple crumble during Autumn Term. We wrote instructions for each one.

Teddy Bear Drawings!

Music

This term we have had a very special visitor teaching our music lessons

Viking Longboats and Deadly Dragons

Viking Shields

We made our own Easter chicks in D&T today using a slider so the chick can hatch out!

Bird Nests. To support Science week and continue with our STEM learning, I asked P3, 'Who can build a better nest - you or a bird?' They then designed their nests with certain criteria and then we went outside to build them. Although they were very good, I think it's P3 0 Birds 1!

Building Bridges as part of STEM learning (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths)

Live Draw with the author of Diary of a Wimpy Kid - Jeff Kinney.

Artwork inspired by Anthony Browne. We used shading with pencils to create these masterpieces.
