Sports Day 2022 and 2023

For two years now we have enjoyed our sports day at MSport. 

This year we enjoyed a fabulous day which was well supported by friends and family. Once again, we say a big thank you to MSport for hosting the event; it is always a huge success. Well done to the children for showing such perseverance and sportsmanship - we couldn't have been more proud of our super athletes.

Orienteering

We have been taking part in lots of activities to celebrate World Orienteering Day. The older children continued with their weekly orienteering session which, this week, took them to another beautiful location, Longlands Lake, Cleator Moor. A hidden gem of a location! Here at Bridekirk we encourage children to “have a go!” and try the sport of orienteering. With our local area having so much to offer - it'd be a shame not to explore in this way.

Younger children have been reading orienteering maps and finding hidden locations around the school. We hope that by encouraging our children at a young age to read maps and be active, they'll sign up for our orienteering inter-school activities as they move into KS2.

British Orienteering

Clubs

At Bridekirk we offer a range of after school clubs. Throughout the year we offer: netball, tennis, cricket street dance, gymnastics, Scottish dancing, football, rugby and multi-skills. We also take the children orienteering and offer forest school extra curriculum activities.
