Stuart from the Foodbank came to lead our RE lesson, all about Advent and the birth of Jesus. We enjoyed listening, asking questions, completing Nativity puzzles and making beautiful Advent wreaths to remind us of the meaning of Christmas. Timmy Tuna also made a guest appearance!

Primary 3 have been thinking about worship and wondering why Christians sing in worship. We decided to explore this more by asking questions to a Christian visitor. Mrs Kinghan kindly invited her friend Steve in to meet us, so that we could ask him for his opinions on Christian worship and singing. Steve is a Youth and Families Pastor for St Aidan's Cumbria, which is a local pioneering all age church. We really enjoyed meeting him and asking him our questions about worship and singing. He even taught us all a fantastic, new song which we followed on You Tube.

The Y3 and Y4 children enjoyed learning about the Jewish festival of Sukkot. Mrs Fletcher challenged them all to choose their own resources to make a mini sukkah. They had to remember to make sure the roof was made only from natural materials, with gaps in it so that the people inside could see the stars.
