Primary 2 Weather Watchers!
Primary 2 spent last half term learning more about weather as part of their Geography topic. They looked at maps, weather charts, weather symbols, painted weather pictures and studied the similarities and differences between Antarctica and The Sahara Desert. Their Seesaw homework task was to design and make a weather recording object, so that they could become "Weather Watchers". What a fantastic collection of rain gauges, wind vanes and wind socks were made! Take a look at some of them.....

We have been learning about the past. Miss Tinnion cam in to talk to about the history of our school.
We made Christmas cornucopias. They are traitional Victorian Christmas tree decorations which are filled with sweets.
We have been learning about animals and the ways in which they have adapted to live in hot and cold countries.
Using atlases and online maps helped us to locate the countries these animals live in.
During our studies on 'Houses and Homes' we enjoyed a trip to Mirehouse.
We learned about how children used to live.
Enjoying spending time in the Nursery.
Our visit from Nothern Construction taught us about building houses.
