Art and Design in the Early Years at Bridekirk Dovenby School is taught through Expressive Arts and Design which encompasses all aspects of being creative. We provide opportunities to explore different textures, materials and techniques to create artistic effects to express ideas and feelings We begin to use drawing to represent actions and objects based on the children's imagination, observations and experiences. We also focus on developing fine motor control to use tools for a purpose.
