Teaching Assistant/Senior Teaching Assistant

 

 

Salary: PCD5 £25,989 (TA) or PCD7 £28,598 (STA), per annum pro rata (FTE 37 hpw) term time only plus 1 week INSET

28.75 hrs per week fixed term while funding allows.  There is the option of 2.5 hours per week as a Midday Supervisor and further hours in our Wraparound Care service (both on separate contracts) to be discussed at interview.

 

Start date: Tuesday 6th January 2026

We are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant or Senior Teaching Assistant, depending on experience, to support students across our happy and thriving school. We are looking for someone who is energetic, passionate and enthusiastic about teaching and learning to join our friendly, motivated and supportive team. 

We are looking for an outstanding classroom practitioner who:

  • Is able to support whole class sessions and provide 1:1 support
  • Has experience of working with SEND
  • Has the skill to encourage independent learning amongst all pupils
  • Can help create a stimulating and imaginative classroom environment
  • Has high expectations of both themselves and pupils
  • Works well as part of a team, being flexible and highly motivated
  • Has a passion for working with children both indoors and outside
  • Has excellent Maths and English skills

Applicants must have relevant experience and qualifications i.e. NVQ Level 3 or 4 or equivalent experience or knowledge in the relevant work area.
