The children in year 5 and year 6 had an exciting day in school participating in a workshop delivered by five representatives from Sellafield.
The session started with an introduction to electrical circuits and the vocabulary ‘connected’ to the topic! The children then worked in small groups to build a lie detector, a working FM radio and they also experimented to design circuits using their own ideas.
The second part of the workshop was working with Botley 2.0 - the coding robot. Again they had a variety of challenges to complete by following the coding cards. The children had to think critically along the way to solve problems they encountered. It was a fun day🤣
