Over half term, we progressed with the work on our new school library… it was very exciting watching it all take shape.
The old computer suite was remodelled to provide a much bigger space for us all to enjoy. The partition wall was taken out and all the walls painted white; new glazed doors flood the once dark room with light. A lovely green carpet adorns the floor, while shelves and furniture make it look like a brand new room!
All the old books were sorted and thrown out and the new books Mrs Fish had been saving were added to the newly built shelves.
On Friday, a librarian is coming to label the books so that they can be easily found and put away.
The children are very excited and have already planned a Library Club for the younger pupils. Mrs Fish is looking forward to hearing the children read and also reading some of the new books to them. If any parents would like to come and read to the children in this lovely new space, please contact your class teacher or the office.
We look forward to showing you around at our Christmas Fayre as FOBDS have helped us raise money to pay for this new project!
THANK YOU to everyone who has helped to make our library come to life!
