Preparing to be the next generation of music producers
This half-term, pupils in P5 have been using the new YuStudio section of our music scheme - Charanga. It is a type of music creation software known as a digital audio workstation or DAW for short! They are learning how to record, arrange and mix their own tracks and compositions. The classroom was silent as they were all wearing headphones and absorbed in their own creations. At times, it looked like a silent disco as they were moving in time to their own creations. I was invited to 'have a listen' and all the creations I heard sounded amazing. There are new skills to learn every week so I look forward to further developments as the term progresses.
