Robo-dog visits DBS

On Wednesday 15th January we had a visit from “Robo Dog”. Mrs Lester from Crea-Tech kindly brought in this wonderful robot. The children had great fun discovering how “Robo Dog” moved and could be used. We found out in the industrial world the robotic dog performs inspections and gathers data at construction/manufacturing sites and nuclear plants such as Sellafield. It was amazing to see how the sensors enabled the Robo Dog to move around anything within its reach. Will we see some of our students pursuing a career within this kind of profession in the future?
