Science Enrichment
During this term, the pupils in Primary 5 have been enriching their science knowledge with a visit to a science show and a visitor coming to school to deliver a workshop called Switched On.
Simon Watt from ‘Science Made Simple’ presented the show and the children deepened their understanding of the solar system through demonstrations which were fun.
Switched On was a morning of hands-on, engaging activities enriched with real-world examples, emphasising safety protocols and science principles all around the topic of electricity. The children enjoyed constructing circuits and testing them so they could answer questions. They were shown how to draw a circuit diagram.
