Reverend Thompson talked to us about the importance of sharing what we are blessed with, rather than hiding it away or being greedy. A map of the world with food placed on it, showed the children where some of the produce in our shops comes from.
Each class sang a song to give praise for our harvest and thank God for the blessings he provides.
P3 designed their own glasses and wrote descriptions about them. Inspired from the book Oliver and the Seawigs. See our class page for all pictures
The Year 6 children are enjoying a week of afternoon swimming lessons. By the end of Year 6 we hope that each child will be able to swim 25 meters. The children are thoroughly enjoying their swimming sessions and will most certainly be ready for the half term break.
After a short break from inter-school sports we were able to take part in a Netball competition at Cockermouth School. After three matches we got through to final, which we won!
A huge well done to our tremendous team.
We had lots of giggles in P1 listening to some silly rhymes written by Spike Milligan. Our favourite was definitely ‘On the Ning, Nang, Nong!’
Last week a photographer came to school to take some pictures of our new mobile defibrillator. A big 'thank you' to parents, Castlegate Surgery and McCarthy Stone who helped us secure the unit.
