On Friday the coronation of King Charles III was celebrated by all the children and staff in school.
Everyone came to school dressed up in red, white and blue and some children wore crowns and brought flags. They had a special assembly where they learned facts about the coronation and a special lunch was prepared by Mrs Bowness. Throughout the day, a variety of activities based around the coronation were taking place.
The following day King Charles was crowned with the St Edward’s Crown and Queen Camilla was crowned with Queen Mary’s Crown. Over 2,000 guests were invited to the coronation which took place in the Abbey Church of Westminster.
