• Yr.5 & 6 West Cumbria Orienteering League - Richmond Hill School

  The first event of the league took place at Richmond hill school on Wednesday and 24 pupils took part. Everyone had an enjoyable afternoon including the year 5 children who have never orienteered before. 

  We had some amazingly fast times and look forward to seeing how the children performed overall. 

  A huge well done to everyone for having a go and taking part in this fun event - what beautiful weather to get us started! 

  

• Year 5 Science Day at Cockermouth School

  Year Five visited Cockermouth School for a Harry Potter themed science afternoon! 

  During the first activity they helped Norbert the dragon digest his food... coco-pops and banana! YUK...

  They then moved on to a Potions Class and identified the spells by the colour of the bunsen burner flame.

  Finally, they had to take the temperature of their wand in a rage of Harry Potter settings to locate the Philosopher's Stone!
