• Key Steps Gymnastics

  On Friday our Year 2 team of gymnasts travelled to Workington Leisure Centre to take part in an Allerdale Key Steps competition. 

   

  The children completed a bench and floor routine and were marked for their individual performances by judges. Overall, we came second out of 5 teams. A very well done to our children who have spend so much time practicing their routines in after school clubs this half term. 

  

• Ski Trip to Artesina, Italy

  Cumbria Primary Ski Trip (including Mrs Fish) took 14 children from Bridekirk Dovenby School to Artesina in Italy for a residential. There were 120 children on the trip in total from across 29 different schools. All of the children received 5 hours of ski tuition each day for six days and by the end of the trip even the beginners could get down a blue or red slope! 

  The children enjoyed activities in the evening from bum-boarding to homemade pizzas and even a Cumbria's Got Talent show. New friendships were formed and the children's independence and confidence improved significantly. The trip will run again next year and children in year 5 and 6 across Cumbria will have the opportunity to be part of this exciting adventure.
