  • P3 Achieve Silver Award with Rubbish Rebels!

Wed 09 Oct 2019 Mrs Herbert
Last year P3 worked through the Rubbish Rebels pack in order to achieve an award from Cumbria County Council. Alongside the help of the school council, they organised a book swap and a jigsaw swap in order to reuse items. They made sure paper was being recycled in school and looked at how to reduce waste. • A visit from a foodbank volunteer

Wed 02 Oct 2019 Mrs Fletcher
Our whole school assembly this morning was delivered by Stuart, a volunteer from the local foodbank. It got us all thinking about sharing and ways in which we can help. In the afternoon Stuart visited Primary 2 to deliver a really interesting lesson on 'Harvest'. We found out about harvest in the past, where food comes from and how we can help those who are less fortunate. We are looking forward to collecting donations of food in the coming weeks to send to the foodbank in Cockermouth.
