Earlier this week, after lots of observing, the children in Primary 1 were ready to release their butterflies. We chose the Orchard area as the best place to let them fly as there were lots of places for them to shelter and plants and flowers for them to feed on.
Everyone loved looking at the butterflies up close and watching them flutter off into the sunshine.๐๐ฆ
P2 enjoyed designing their own footballers this afternoon to use as mascots for the match tonight. We had some fantastic kits, fancy hairstyles and colourful boots.
Let’s hope they bring us some luck!
Half time score 1 - 1
Full time 2 - 1 ๐๐๐

What fun we had during activity week planning our chalk trails, drawing them, testing them out and then explaining them to other children. Great team work P2! ๐
Primary 1 had fun during activity week designing faces for their cress heads and planting the seeds. After only a couple of days of sunshine and water, the cress started to grow. The children have now taken them home to carry on caring for them. I bet some of them are ready for a hair cut by now! ๐โ๏ธ๐๐ผโ๏ธ
Following England’s recent football successes, P2 enjoyed a day celebrating football. We learned new skills, designed football kits, decided on team names and took part in a whole class tournament. A fabulous day!
We all enjoyed a lovely morning listening to our musicians play. It was great to see how well they have progressed this year despite the disruption to lessons due to lockdown.
A big thank you to Mrs McConkey and Piping Hot for giving up their time to entertain us with a plethora of different recorders.
P2 were out for the longest on our school walk and not one moan was heard from anyone! Well done P2....
Our whole school walk around Buttermere wasn't quite as sunny as we would have liked, but we are resilient and didn't let a bit of rain deter us!
